The international conference on “Interprofessional Partnership: Improvement for Global Health Outcomes” will be hosted by the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The aim of this conference will be identifying ways of working together so that global health outcomes and health-enhancing environments are improved. As we see more health problems having a global impact politically, economically and socially, partnerships are needed on both international and interdisciplinary levels to achieve this aim. For global health outcomes to be improved across all nations, both rich and poor, a more multi-discipline approach is needed so that coalitions can be formed between professions and countries with a common goal.
This conference will provide an opportunity to explore the issues in interprofessional partnerships in a diverse context and to discuss their role in global health outcomes. It will also serve as an excellent stage for participants and speakers to develop collaborative relationships at an international level while identifying interdisciplinary opportunities for working together for the improvement of not only worldwide health, but also health-enhancing environments. The conference will be a forum for health care personnel and other professionals to share their knowledge and insights as to how their roles can positively affect health environments. By both heightening awareness and highlighting ways of integrating skills throughout the field of global health, it will also serve as a means of enhancing global health outcomes.
