Master of Nursing Science
The Master of Nursing Science is a professional degree that helps students gain in-depth knowledge and expertise in their chosen area of specialization. The program also provides skills that allow nurses to excel in the workplace and in their careers. Graduates from the program are able to respond to the changing needs of health and society and are prepared for the advancements in health science and technology. The program has a strong focus on professional ethical principles and virtues, collaboration, and critical thinking.
The MNS is thesis-based and focuses on the development of nursing knowledge in a particular concentration. International students can base their thesis research in their home country.
The MNS program is available in the following concentrations:
- Adult Nursing
- Maternal and Child Nursing
- Nursing Administration
(*Note: The Thai program includes additional concentrations in community health nursing, gerontological nursing, infectious disease and infection control, midwifery, occupational health nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric and mental health nursing)
Upon completion of the program students will have the following competencies:

In-depth knowledge in nursing science, theories and concepts related to health and area of specialization, and ability to integrate knowledge from nursing science and other related sciences in nursing practice effectively.

Contribute to body of health knowledge and apply research results in their area of specialization.

Systematic critical thinking, planning and problem solving, using skills in teamwork and cooperation with health care team and related persons.

Communicate and transfer knowledge and academic information using appropriate methods, and support others in developing their professional career

MNS Curriculum
The MNS curriculum is designed to provide students with a foundation in core leadership and research courses as well as core competencies in their field of specialization. Ample electives are available for students to pursue individual interests. Students gain hands-on research skills through conducting original thesis research which must be published.
Seminars
To promote a scholarly environment and to provide students the opportunity to develop public speaking and presentation skills, students are required to present a seminar on a topic related to their thesis once every semester for at least 2 semesters. Attendance at student seminars is mandatory.
Publication
The student thesis must be developed for publication and successfully published as a graduation requirement.

Full-Time Study
Duration: 2 years (4 regular semesters and 2 summer sessions)
The MNS program is typically completed in 2 years. The period of study shall not exceed four academic years.
The program begins with an orientation in early August.
