Somphit Amphai is currently a Lecturer of obstetrics and gynecology nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Chiang Mai University and a Master of Nursing Science (Maternity and Newborn Nursing) from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. She is a nursing instructor in the areas of obstetrics nursing, specifically in intrapartum nursing care. As a nursing instructor in these areas, she has had experience in caring for pregnant women who had both normal and complicated pregnancies. Her research areas are understanding maternal and newborn nursing.
