Kanjana Thana is a Lecturer of fundamental nursing. Her teaching responsibilities include undergraduate nursing students and associated medical science students as well as supervising students in clinical settings. She has experience working as a registered nurse, a risk-management officer, and an oncology nurse specialist in both a university hospital and a private hospital in Thailand.  She is currently studying a Doctoral degree in Nursing Science at the College of Nursing, Michigan State University, USA on a scholarship from Chiang Mai University. Her PhD research is focused on caregiver burden among cancer caregivers who provide home-based symptom management interventions for cancer patients.
