     Weeraporn Suthakorn has been teaching at the Faculty of Nursing since 2004. Currently, she is an assistant professor of occupational health nursing. She earned her MS from the University of California, San Francisco and her PhD from the School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University at Maryland, USA. In 2012, she was appointed Chair of the Occupational Health Nursing graduate program at the Faculty of Nursing.
     Her teaching focuses on community health nursing and occupational health nursing. She has a particular interest in integrating innovative teaching and learning issues throughout the classroom environment. Recently, she developed the elective course “Workers health in the digital age” for undergraduate students. In 2016, she was honored with an award from Chiang Mai University for her efforts in the arrangement of teaching and learning in the 21st century project. Her primary research focus has been on the contribution of workplace exposures to health effects in various work settings. She is currently the principle investigator of a funded project that aims to explore health hazards and health disparities among longan growers. She is also co-principle investigator on a funded project on improving the working conditions among ceramic workers in Lampang province, Thailand.
