     Petsunee Thungjaroenkul is an Assistant Professor in nursing administration at the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University. Her teaching expertise is focused on nursing management, statistical analysis and conducting research on the issues of human resource management and hospital safety management. Her past research has explored mobility, lifestyle behaviors and the health status of nurses in Thailand. She also has conducted a study to explore the reasons behind nursing graduates’ decision to pursue teaching as a career and has provide recommendations for overcoming the nursing faculty shortage in Thailand. In terms of safety management issues, she is working with graduate students to conduct a study on nursing hand-off communication improvement and a study to assess an unhealthy work environment for hospital-based nurses. Currently, she is working with a colleague to develop an assessment tool to investigate patient safety management in Thailand.
