NurseCMU attend to The 61st Anniversary Celebration of Chiang Mai University


On 24 January 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Suparat Wangsrikhun, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, together with the executive team and staff, participated in the celebration of the 61st Anniversary of Chiang Mai University. The event was attended by the university’s senior executives and representatives from various faculties and units, and was held at Sala Tham Hall and Pin Malakul Art Gallery, Chiang Mai University.

The 61st Anniversary Celebration of Chiang Mai University took place on Saturday, 24 January 2026. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, President of the Chiang Mai University Council. The program featured a merit-making ceremony to bring prosperity and auspiciousness to the university, a floral wreath offering ceremony to pay tribute to M.L. Pin Malakul, the founder of Chiang Mai University as the first regional university in Thailand, as well as the presentation of Distinguished Administrator Awards, the Golden Elephant Awards, and honorary plaques to individuals who received Royal Appointments to the rank of Professor.

On this occasion, the Dean's NurseCMU presented a congratulatory flower bouquet to Associate Professor Dr. Piyanut Xuto, who received the Chiang Mai University “Golden Elephant” Award for the year 2025 in the category of Teacher for Health Sciences. The gesture reflected the faculty’s pride in the recipient’s achievement and its commitment to honoring academic excellence within the university community.
