On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, The Committee for the Promotion of Arts, Culture, and Sports, in collaboration with the Retired Staff Club of the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, organized a traditional Lanna-style flag-making ceremony (Tung Sai Moo) as part of the Lanna New Year celebrations in 2026. This event aimed to preserve and continue the Lanna cultural heritage of Thailand. Assistant Professor Dr. Chanchai Yothayai, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, presided over the opening ceremony, and Associate Professor Dr. Prakin Suchaxaya, Vice President of the Retired Staff Club, gave New Year blessings to the participants. Ms. Chalermsri Tonoi, former staff, served as a guest speaker. The event took place at the Faculty and Staff Lounge, Building 3.
