On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chanchai Yothayai, Associate Dean; Assistant Professor Dr. Waruntorn Jongrungrotsakul, Assistant Dean; Associate Professor Dr. Noppamas Sripetchwandee, Assistant Dean; along with faculty members, staff, and students, participated in commemorative and blessing ceremony for His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, King Rama X, on the auspicious occasion of his 74th birthday. Professor Dr. Pongrak Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, presided over the ceremony at the Center for Promoting Senior Citizens' Empowerment, Chiang Mai University.
In addition, faculty members, staff, and undergraduate and postgraduate students of NurseCMU, in collaboration with the Nurses Association of Thailand, Northern Branch, led by Dr. Hansa Thianthong, President of the Association, and the committee, organized an activity to promote health and improve the quality of life for the elderly, "74th Birthday Anniversary of CMU: Creating Happiness for the Elderly, Strengthening the Spirit of Aging." The event included a screening service for sarcopenia held at the Khayom Building A, 1st floor, Center for the Promotion of Aging, Chiang Mai University.
