Apichart Kardosod is a lecturer in surgical nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University. He first started working as an RN in the emergency care unit of Phrae Hospital, then he became a clinical instructor of the surgical department at the Faculty of Nursing. He had an opportunity for additional training by taking a four-month short course about Science and Art of Teaching in Nursing with people with orthopedics disease for four months at Chiang Mai University, Thailand and a one-week short course on emergency care at Mahidol University, Thailand. He was given a scholarship to pursue his Master’s Degree in Nursing by the FON, CMU.  He now teaches in the field of chronic and traumatic orthopedic.   In addition, he is currently doing research on an empowerment program for people with chronic illnesses.
