Sexual assertiveness of Chinese female college
students: A qualitative study
Following up on the publication of her doctoral thesis,
PhD candidate Fengling Dai published this article
exploring sexual assertiveness in university-aged
female students in China. Thematic analysis of
in-depth interviews held with 20 participants from
three colleges in southwest China resulted in four
categories related to the participants own sexual
assertiveness, as well as the experiences, support
and constraints related to that assertiveness. The
findings can help the field of nursing to better understand
sexual assertiveness as well as help with the develop-
ment of interventions to promote sexual education,
communication, and transformation of sexual double
standards. Pacific Rim International Journal of Nursing

Factors predicting practices in prevention of Nongyao Kasatpibal
COVID-19 and impacts among the population in
Chiang Mai, Thailand
NurseCMU’s Professor Dr. Nongyao Kasatpibal led
this study in collaboration with multiple departments
across Chiang Mai University. In the Thai context, the
COVID-19 among the Thai population has not been
fully understood. Therefore, the study aimed to examine
the knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, practices, and
factors predicting COVID-19 prevention practices.
Results showed that while attitudes and prevention
practices scored higher, levels of knowledge were
under 50%. Policymakers can use this information to
improve COVID-19 prevention practices in order to
lessen the impact of COVID-19 on people. Medicina
