Chiang Mai University is the premier research institution in Northern Thailand and is one of nine National Research Universities supported by the Thai government. The National Research Universities initiative was introduced to promote academic excellence and to improve higher education in Thailand. The Faculty of Nursing is recognized nationally as a leader in research; our skilled researchers strive to discover and create innovative solutions to address the health issues that face our society today.
NurseCMU nurse scholars conduct research and develop health promotion programs on all areas of health, from individuals to communities, from practice to education and policy. NurseCMU has two supporting research centers, the Nursing Research Center and the Center for Excellence in Nursing Research, as well as two international research centers – the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Nursing and Midwifery Development and the Thailand Centre for Evidence-Based Health Care: A Joanna Briggs Institute Affiliated Group.
