Anon Wisutthananon is an Assistant Professor of public health nursing at the Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University. He has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a certificate in midwifery from Boromarajonani Nursing College, Bangkok, Thailand. He went on to earn a Master of Public Health from Chiang Mai University and a Diploma in both Occupational Health Nursing and Nurse Practitioner (Primary medical care). Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University.
He has over a decade of research experience, specifically in the areas of occupational health nursing, workplace health promotion, health promotion and occupational health risks reduction for workers, especially informal workers in the agricultural sector, and also community health nursing, as well as action research and participatory action research in the community and community health management and intervention to promote community health and strengthening the community empowerment. Currently, he is conducting research on model development of health promotion and risk reduction of occupational health hazards in farmers and sewing workers groups: participatory action research, which is supported by the research funding from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation of Thailand.
