     Dr. Wanicha holds a Doctoral in Clinical Practice (DclinP) from the University of Southampton, School of Health Sciences in the UK. Her area of interests are NCD, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), aging, palliative care, and mixed method research. Dr. Wanicha is a post-doctoral trainee in the University of Michigan School of Nursing Strengthening NCD Research and Training Capacity in Thailand Program. Her work will focus on chronic conditions especially in the area of the self-management for people living with CKD in Thailand. The mixed method research will apply to her study. In the first phase, the research will identify the problems, needs, and the burden of symptoms in CKD patients with and without dialysis in Thailand. The second phase will develop the self-management model for the population in Thai context. The results could help patients living with CKD manage their symptoms, enhance their quality of life, and reduce the cost of care.
