     After graduating in 2001 with a PhD in Nursing and Health Care Administration, Thitinut Akkadechanunt transferred to teach and supervise nursing students in the Nursing Administration Department. From 2002 to 2010, she served as the chair of the Nursing Administration International MNS program. Currently, she is the Chair of the MNS International program in Nursing Science. She also serves as Assistant Dean for educational technology development. 
     In the area of nursing administration, she is interested in conducting research on the health system service. She had an opportunity to join a research project entitled “In-depth Country Assessment of Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Management: A Case Study in Thailand” supported by the World Health Organization.
     She was invited to be a lecturer and a consultant of a research project from the Bureau of Nursing, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand to conduct a pioneer research project regarding the cost of nursing care in each Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs) with the staff of the Bureau of Nursing. Since then, numerous researches including the cost-effectiveness, and cost efficiency of care emerge from both graduate students and professional nurses in different settings. Several policies, management, and practices have changed based on the results of these research findings.
     Her research experiences also include the area of quality of nursing care and health outcomes. She was the principle investigator of the research project entitled “Nursing Care Quality as Perceived by Hospitalized Patients and Staff Nurses at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital” in which she developed the instrument based on the ‘Good Nursing Care Scale’ (Leinonen, Leino-Kilpi, Stahlberg & Lertola, 2001). As a chairperson of the master degree program in nursing administration, she allows master students to use this instrument for their thesis and independent studies.
     Dr. Thitinut had received a research grant from Health Systems Research Institute to conduct the research entitled “Development of Elderly Health Indicators in Thailand.” The researchers of this project come from several parties such as Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai and Lumphum Provincial Public Health Office. She has a variety of research projects. She is vigorous and continues developing her research profile in every opportunity to build management competency in her career.
