Wanchai Lertwatthanawilat is an Associate Professor and former Chair of Master Program of Nursing Care for Patient with Infectious Disease and Infection Control at the Faculty of Nursing. He has research experience in the areas of infection control, clinical guidelines development and implementation, and health behavioral changes. His research has been published in both national and international journals. He has been working in collaboration with the regional World Health Organization to develop guidelines for H5N1 prevention, H1N1 materials for health care workers and health volunteers, and quality indicators for infection prevention and control. Recently, he served as the Chair of the training and development of materials and tools for the regional WHO. He also served as a trainer for health care workers from all regions in the area of Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) from epidemic influenza, supported by WHO Geneva headquarters from 2007-2008. He speakers on topics related to health care associated infection control regionally and internationally.
