On 1 October 2023, Nursing Student Union, Chiang Mai University organized activities for National Nurses Day 2023. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Wanpen Songkham, Associate Dean responsible for Undergraduate Studies Development together with Assistant Professor Piyawan Sawasdisingha, Assistant Dean responsible for Student Development and Alumni Relations and Mr. Tanawat Yodjai, Mayor of Mae Hia Municipality gave welcome speech to the participants at Mae Hia Municipality, Chiang Mai.

On 21 October every year is National Nurses' Day in Thailand. This day is a birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra Mahidol of Thailand. HRH Princess Srinagarindra Mahidol, was professionally trained as a nurse. She was well known during her lifetime for her works in the field of medicine, nursing and healthcare, in particular the promotion of availability of access to health services for people in remote parts of the country. Since 1990, Thai government has designated this day as National Nurse’s Day to honored Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindre Mahidol for her contribution in Public health.
