Celebrating Academic Excellence and Leadership: Chiang Mai University's Founding Anniversary

Celebrating NurseCMU's Achievements and Recognizing Excellence in Academic Leadership

Chiang Mai University hosted a grand event in honor of the university's founding anniversary. The event took place on January 24, 2024, at Sala Dham (Dhamma Hall) and paid tribute to the remarkable achievements of the Faculty of Nursing through an awards ceremony.

The event celebrates the university's history and ongoing commitment to academic excellence and leadership. As part of the celebration, the university extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the Faculty of Nursing award recipients for their extraordinary contributions to their fields and the university.

The university is proud to recognize the exceptional members of the Faculty of Nursing with several prestigious awards, highlighting their outstanding achievements and contributions in 2023.

The awards are a testament to their dedication and commitment to advancing the field of nursing:

 

1.      Outstanding Executive Award from the President's Fund, 2023
Asst
. Prof. Piriya Cherdsatirakul, Vice President of Chiang Mai University and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Nursing.
Asst. Prof. Piriya was honored for his exceptional leadership skills and unwavering commitment to the university. Asst. Prof. Piriya has been instrumental in guiding the university toward greater heights, and his dedication has earned him the respect of his colleagues and students. This honor is well-deserved and is a testament to his invaluable contributions to the university's growth and success.

 

2.      Chiang Mai University Golden ElephantAward, 2023

Dr. Hunsa Sethabouppha, RN, APN, Lecturer, Psychiatric Nursing
Dr. Hunsa was honored with the Golden Elephant Award this year for her outstanding contributions to education and research in health sciences.

3.      Professor's Honorary Plaque, 2023
Professor Dr
. Patraporn Bhatarasakoon, RN, APN, FAAN.
Professor Bhatarasakoon made remarkable contributions to the field of nursing and academic excellence. Her passion and expertise in psychiatric and mental health nursing have earned her the prestigious role of the JBI Scientific Committee Representative for the JBIC Asia Region for 2024-2025. In this position, she will lead initiatives promoting evidence-based healthcare excellence within the JBI.

 

4.      Independent Research Award, 2023
Ms
. Supharada Prasertkul,  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somjai Sirakamon, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bunpitcha Chitpakdee

Ms Rawinan Chaingern, Prof. Dr. Patraporn Bhatarasakoon, and Dr. Hunsa Sethabouppha

This award is presented to persons whose independent research has profoundly impacted their field, demonstrating innovation and significance

5.      Popular Vote award for outstanding courses at the graduate level, Academic Year 2022
Master of Nursing Science program
(International Program), Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University

 

The Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS) of Chiang Mai University has awarded the Master of Nursing Science program (International Program) with the Popular Vote award for outstanding courses at the graduate level for the academic year 2022. This award is a significant achievement, highlighting the program's exceptional quality and impact on nursing education. Associate Professor Dr. Thitinut Akkadechanunt, Chair of the MNS program, will receive the award on behalf of the program on January 24, 2024, at Sala Dhamma, Chiang Mai University.
