NurseCMU and The University of Hong Kong Co-Organize the 13th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum on Planetary Health

Hong Kong, March 5, 2024 The Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University (NurseCMU) collaborated with the School of Nursing at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) to co-organize the 13th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum (HKINF). The event occurred at the Cheung Kung Hai Conference Centre, Medical Campus, the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, under the theme "Nurses' Impact on Planetary Health."

The forum brought together international and local stakeholders from the nursing and healthcare sectors to discuss and share the latest developments and challenges within the nursing profession. The event aimed to promote dialogue, encourage collaboration among nurses, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, and expand their influence on a global scale.

A distinguished delegation from the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, led by Dean Dr. Thanee Kaewthummanukul, attended the forum. The team included Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarat Mesukko, Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and Global Mission Integration; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantaporn Sansiriphun, Associate Dean for Human Resources Management and Knowledge Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanpen Songkham, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies Development; and Dr. Nonglak Chaloumsuk, Associate Dean for Strategic Driving, Communications, and Branding.

NurseCMU's participation in the HKINF highlighted the faculty's global recognition for its contributions to nursing education and research and its commitment to enhancing healthcare quality worldwide through innovative nursing practices.

In addition to the faculty's participation, two student works have been accepted for presentation in E-Poster format at the conference. The research of Ms. Sudarak Prasarn, a doctoral student in the regular program, and Mrs. Pantaporn Issawanich, a master's degree student in Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner Program, will be showcased. This acknowledgment serves as a significant accomplishment for the students and a reflection of the high-quality education and research opportunities provided by NurseCMU.
